Lewis Hamilton will start on pole position for the USGP tomorrow, followed by Lewis Hamilton, Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen. It should be noted that the only person to go under the 1:12 mark in the qualifying session was Alonso in Q2 with a 1:11.926. Should Formula 1 be set up so that the driver who sets the best time in ANY of the qualifying sessions is driver on pole position?
There were good performances by Kovalainen, Trulli and Webber to make it in to Q3. Wurz and Sato has poor sessions after good finishes in Canada, neither made it out of Q1.
I will now speculate, come the start of the race tomorrow, Hamilton and Alonso will Lead the two Ferraris around for the whole race, boring us all to death. The two BMWs will finish next, then the Renaults, blah blah. Let's hope something really interesting happens and the race is exciting, though I am doubtful.
