'The Doctor' put on a show today, with a brilliant pass of world championship leader Casey Stoner with only four laps remaining. Stoner, a five time race winner this year and polesitter made out with a quick lead but Rossi moved his way through the field from eleventh to ultimately take the race win. The performance was classic Rossi, you just knew he would catch and ultimately pass Stoner after he made has way through defending champion Nicky Hayden, who rounded up the podium in third. F1 may have the glamor and heritage, but MotoGP takes the crown for excitement.

In comparison to F1, MotoGP offers a significantly better product. The riders, like Rossi, Hayden and Stoner, are vivid personalities seemingly more free from the corporate muzzle. Also, all the riders in MotoGP are where they are based on merit, not because of nepotism or sponsorship connections. There is no question that the racing is more exciting and less predictable. I love MotoGP! Let's go to Laguna!
I agree MotoGP is much more exciting to watch when compared to F1. MotoGP races are typically closer, as well they lend themselves to more passing. Which makes me wonder, if F1 made rules regulating the aero packages on the cars and made them less dependant on aerodynamics then we would probably see more passing in F1. Today this point was touched on when Fillipe and Lewis talked about losing downforce on the car when following another car.
Also, more so to go along with Michaels other post, we shouldn't forget GP2, which doesn't get mentioned here.
I love MotoGP!!! Watching Rossi move through the field in Assen, Holland was amazing!! I agree with Mike, bring on Laguna Seca! That race is on this weekend correct?
